Through the mechanism of “capacity bank” and the principle of “sharing, building together and sharing” Together with our partners, we will build a new multi-terrestrial optical cable system across Central Asia, South Asia and West Asia, to achieve network interconnection among countries along the routes and to provide landlocked countries with access to sea ports directly linked to submarine landing stations. Starting from Urumqi, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Kabul, the capital of the Silk Road project, will be further extended to other countries in Central Asia, South Asia and West Asia in the future and reach the Middle East, Africa and Europe by sea and land. China Telecom has signed cooperation agreements with Silk Road optical fiber cables with partners in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan and formed a Silk Road Optical Cable Management Committee. Up to now, the Silk Road optical cable project has completed the on-the-spot investigation of transmission routes in China, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
